200 Stranded Marines Needed To Get Back Home, So Here’s What Trump Did…

Reportedly, when Corporal Ryan Stickney, together with 200 of his fellow Marines looked forward to return home to their families after the  1991 Operation Desert Storm due to a logistics error, were forced to ask help from no one else but Donald J. Trump.

According to a report from Hannity, today, they want to say “thank you.” to the President.

During that time, Stickney was a squad leader in a TOW company of a Marine reserve unit founded in Miami, FL and spent approximately six months in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War.

As the former Marine has explained, when his unit returned to the U.S. they spent a few weeks at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to relieve some pressure before heading back to Miami.

He remembered how they were told that there was no available aircraft due to some mistake that was made within the logistics unit, so the Marines weren’t able to make it back home on their scheduled date.

According to Stickney, this is where Trump gets involved in the story.

Namely, the former Marine said : “The way the story was told to us was that Mr. Trump found out about it and sent the airline down to take care of us. And that’s all we knew….I remember asking ‘Who is Donald Trump?’ I truly didn’t know anything about him.”

He even took a picture that day, so he would never forget it, showing the U.S. Marines preparing to board Donald Trump’s jet.

It was confirmed by the Trump campaign that this event did happen and Trump sent his plane to make two trips from North Carolina to Miami, Florida to get over 200 Gulf War Marines back home.

The U.S. Marine expressed his gratitude saying : “It may not seem like much to most people, but it was very important to a bunch of jar heads and more importantly their families waiting for them on the hot tarmac.”

Reportedly, Stickney said that in all of the 28 years of public service he has never seen this kind of support for the troops from any politician. He stated : “I have not seen a Clinton or Sanders plane, or anything else for that matter, sent to support the troops.”
